Our new Bulk Media Adjustment rule lets you add a photo or YouTube video to multiple vehicles’ Media Galleries at once! Choose whether the photo is inserted as the primary photo, a specific position in the gallery, or at the end, and choose between a specific position or at the end for YouTube videos. You can also see such in action through our newly-redesigned vehicle media tab, which shows the exact order of photos, videos, and bulk media adjustments as they would be seen by shoppers on your V4 website!
How to Use Bulk Media Adjustments
To set up this new rule, follow these steps:
- Log in to Evolve.
- Go to Settings > Bulk Adjustments.
- Create a new Bulk Adjustment with type Media Adjustment.
- Input your desired set up as you typically would on Step 1.
- Set any desired inventory filters you would like the adjustment to apply to on Step 2.
- Set your Bulk Media Adjustment preferences on Step 3:
- Position: Choose where the media will be inserted in the gallery.
- Primary: Sets the image as the first photo displayed on VLPs and the exported primary image. This is only available for photos and not videos.
- Within: Enter a numeric position, such as 2 for the second in the gallery. If the number you enter exceeds the vehicle's current photo count, the media will default to last. Do note that entering position 1 is not the same as selecting Primary, as a value of 1 inserts the media at position 1 in the standard gallery on VDP but does not override the primary photo designation.
- Last: Puts the media to the end of the gallery.
- Media Type: Select Photo or Video.
- Photo: An upload field will appear. Select an image file from your computer.
- Video: A URL field will appear. Enter a YouTube or YouTube Shorts link.
- Alternative Text: Enter descriptive alt text for accessibility (works the same as on Promotion adjustments).
- Position: Choose where the media will be inserted in the gallery.
- Save the rule. It will appear in the Bulk Adjustments table after the Promotions section.
